Elekta receives USD 64 million order for state-of-the-art linacs and Gamma Knife in Mexico
Hospital Angeles Health System to provide patients with advanced radiation therapy through acquisition of several linear accelerators
STOCKHOLM – Elekta (EKTA-B.ST) announced today that it has received an order from Hospital Angeles Health System, the largest private healthcare service provider in Mexico, to deliver state-of-the-art linear accelerators (linacs), as well as Elekta Esprit – the company’s latest Gamma Knife system – for a value of approximately USD 64 million.
With this order, Hospital Angeles Health System has shown its commitment to addressing Mexico’s cancer burden with innovative radiotherapy equipment and sophisticated software.

The Hospital Angeles Health System hospital network, with more than 35 years of experience in medical and hospital care, comprises 27 hospitals nationwide, each offering state-of-the-art medical facilities and a wide range of specialized services.
The order includes software (Elekta’s MOSAIQ® oncology information system and Monaco® treatment planning system) and services. Installations will begin during the third quarter 2024/25, with the last system expected to be installed during the first quarter 2027/28. Approximately USD 38 million will be booked in Elekta’s first quarter of fiscal year 2024/25, and the first deliveries are expected in December, 2024.
