Richard Hausmann, Elekta CEO, named "Best MedTech CEO"
STOCKHOLM, May 20, 2020 – Elekta (EKTA-B.ST) today announced that its President and CEO, Dr. Richard Hausmann has been recognized as the "Best MedTech CEO" by MedTech Breakthrough, an independent organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies, and products in the global health and medical technology market.
Dr. Hausmann has taken bold steps to transform radiation oncology. One of these was the successful expansion of Elekta Unity, the world’s first high-field magnetic resonance-guided radiation therapy (MRgRT) system, to multiple continents around the world following its 2018 clearance in the United States and Europe. He recently celebrated the milestone of helping to fulfill more than 75 Unity orders before mid-June 2020. Under his leadership, Elekta also has advanced its position as a leader in digital health technology that is crucial to improving cancer survival.
