Elekta's most recently announced products for Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) are a major part of the agreement.The contract also covers Elekta's ground breaking IGRT platform, Elekta Synergy® - the first radiation treatment machine with an integrated imaging system. This technology will enable doctors to obtain images of patients just before their treatment, allowing them to visualize tumors at the point of treatment, to more precisely target tumors with radiation beams.
