ELEKTA IMPLEMENTS NEW ORGANIZATION AND EXPANDS GROUP MANAGEMENTElekta today decided to revise its organization in order to enhance its capacity for sustainable growth and profitability the coming years. The aim is to strengthen functional coordination and competence as well as business process proficiency. With the new structure current product focus, that dominates the present product area structure, will be eliminated. The new organization will be built on a clear customer focus, based on Elekta's existing regional structure, combined into a global sales, marketing and service function. This function will be coupled with a strong technology development and operations function.The new organization will have the following functions:Sales, Marketing and Service - Technology Development & Operations - Finance - Information Technology - Quality & Regulatory Affairs - Human Resources - Legal - CommunicationsIn the new organization, decision making and profit responsibility will be strongly decentralized. All revenue profit center responsibility in the new organization is concentrated to the Sales, Marketing and Service function. The Technology Development & Operations function will be measured on performance and cost efficiency. Both these functions will also be measured on capital efficiency and capital utilization.Elekta management has as part of the new organization been strengthened and expanded.
