Policy for the processing of personal data 

It is Elekta’s aim that all persons whose personal data is processed by Elekta shall at all times feel confident that the person's privacy is respected and that due care is taken regarding his or her personal data.

Elekta will comply with national data protection laws that control the collection and use of data relating to individuals (personal data), such as the Swedish Data Protection Act (Personuppgiftslagen 1998:204). The Data Protection Act governs the processing of personal data and will apply to most of the activities that Elekta undertakes.

Information 

You can generally visit our website without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, to access certain options and services we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information and without providing such personally identifiable information, you may be unable to access certain options and services. We (along with our third party partners engaged to provide marketing and advertising or assist with certain services on our behalf) collect personally identifiable information about you only if you voluntarily provide it to us and you have the option not to provide any personally identifiable information to us. Personal data, including data such as names and addresses with which you provide Elekta, will be processed manually as well as by computers, for the purpose of providing the information and services you request as well as for marketing and sales/product development follow up. Elekta may give your name, e-mail address and/or postal address to third parties such as a fulfillment house or distributor of our products in order to fulfill your request. On our behalf, they will provide you with the information or products in which you have expressed an interest. The data provided might be exported to business partners located in countries within as well as outside the European Union.

For the subscription service, Elekta will collect process and utilize your personal information as part of Newsletter and/or Press release subscriptions, as long as this information is necessary for realizing the relevant activity. As part of Newsletter and/or Press release subscriptions, Elekta only collects, saves and uses the E-mail address that is required for sending the Newsletter or Press Release. You can unsubscribe from the subscription service any time whereupon your E-mail address will be deleted.

Under the Swedish Personal Data Act you have rights of access and rectification in relation to your personal data. Such rights will be adhered to by Elekta as far as possible to fulfill all of our legal obligations.
